Review/Giveaway: Mamatini, Breastfeed Better

I am obsessed with a new beverage. There, I came right out and told you straight out, obsessed.  Since I was given the opportunity to test out Mamatini, I have been addicted to it.  Now I have you all curious, don’t I?

Mamatini is an all natural organic herbal kind of tea that has the breast feeding mama in mind. Pediatrician designed and approved, Mamatini says what they want is to help mothers breastfeed better, easier and for longer. The National Health Organization recommends a minimum breastfeeding period of 1 year, too many mamas fall short of that goal for all kinds of reasons. How exciting that there is a company making  a drink that promotes not only your health but the health of your baby as well as the amazing relationship breast feeding creates.

When Coralin turned 6 months old, I literally did a little cheer for myself. Those first few weeks of breastfeeding her, with sore cracking nipples, I thought we would never make it to our goal. Now, 7 + months in, I have no idea how I will ever give up this time with my baby! Mamatini is helping things along even for an established mama like myself, it would have been great to have this when I was just starting out.

They say that drinking 1-2 bottles of Mamatini each day will help increase your milk supply and increase your energy.  Based on my own completely unscientific tests I can say this is definitely true. I have always had one over producing breast and one moderately producing. It’s because Cora favors one side, always has. After drinking the Mamatini as suggested, the moderately producing breast has totally caught up to the other side. It’s nice to have so much milk coming in, even though Cora doesn’t really need any more these days.  Drinking that much Mamatini is a total breeze because it is super yummy. I think it tastes like cold chamomile tea, the flavor though is ginger mint. The two ingredients that are working the best for you mamas out there are Fenugreek and Fennel. Fenugreek helps produce milk, many lactation consultants and midwives recommend it to mamas. Fennel stimulates the let down of your milk and also helps prevent gas and bloating in both you and baby. It’s probably too much information but before drinking Mamatini my gas was out of control. It was a leftover side effect from pregnancy, so much fun. The fennel is definitely working for me, I’ll leave it at that.

Mamatini was developed by a breastfeeding mama who was pretty sick of brewing nursing specific teas all day long. They definitely work but I can say for sure that I am totally with her on that, I never want to make the teas myself and that causes me to not drink them at all. The premade and super yummy Mamatini is fantastic. Even if I have Cora in one hand, I can reach in the fridge and grab a cold tea drink.  Mamatini also gives perfect options for buying enough to last you, you can have cases of the yummy beverage shipped to you automatically for 4 weeks or 12 weeks. Each week you get a case of your Mamatini, your credit card gets billed and no worries about having to reorder. I think the 12 Week auto shipment would make a really great gift for a brand new mama.
